Setting it up
- Install CleanCut on the iPhone or iPad you keep near the TV, on the same Wi-Fi as the Apple TV.
- Open it, pick your Apple TV, and type in the code that appears on the television. Once.
- Choose whether profanity is muted or skipped, and switch off any words you don’t mind hearing. Changes apply mid-episode.
- Press play in Paramount+. Nothing to configure in Paramount+. Pair CleanCut with the Apple TV once and press play as usual.

Questions about Paramount+
Does CleanCut filter the CBS live stream in Paramount+?
No. Live television has no script and no subtitle file ahead of time, so there is nothing to filter. The same shows on demand, after they air, are covered.
Does it work with Paramount+ Kids Mode?
They do different jobs and don't conflict. Kids Mode decides which titles a profile can open; CleanCut mutes the language in whatever is playing. Most households use CleanCut on the adult profile, where the catalog is open and the language is the problem.
Is there anything to set up inside Paramount+?
No. Keep using the Paramount+ app and your existing subscription. CleanCut pairs with the Apple TV, not with Paramount+.
