Setting it up
- Install CleanCut on the iPhone or iPad you keep near the TV, on the same Wi-Fi as the Apple TV.
- Open it, pick your Apple TV, and type in the code that appears on the television. Once.
- Choose whether profanity is muted or skipped, and switch off any words you don’t mind hearing. Changes apply mid-episode.
- Press play in AMC+. Nothing to configure in AMC+. Pair CleanCut with the Apple TV once and press play as usual.

Questions about AMC+
Does CleanCut filter Shudder?
Inside AMC+, yes: Shudder's library is part of the AMC+ bundle and plays through the AMC+ app, where it is filtered like anything else there. The standalone Shudder app is a different app and is not covered.
Does it work on the AMC+ ad-supported plan?
Yes. The filter follows the TV's own playback position, so it resumes with the show after a break. If the timing lands a little early or late afterwards, Mic Sync on Pro corrects it, or you can nudge it by hand on any plan.
Does it filter the AMC live channel?
No. The live feed has no subtitle file and is left alone. Everything on demand in AMC+ is covered.
