Subscriptions run through the App Store and renew until cancelled. The free week applies to Pro yearly, once per Apple ID, and only when Apple offers it at checkout. Plus and Pro allowances reset monthly; titles you have already filtered keep working after a cap.

What do I get without paying?
YouTube and Plex, in full: real-time muting on both, SponsorBlock segment skipping on YouTube, and every rule and word-list control. The free tier shows non-personalized banner ads.
What does Plus add?
The subscription streaming apps: Prime Video, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, Apple TV+, Crunchyroll, Tubi, AMC+, Disney+ and the rest, and no ads. Each new title you filter counts toward a monthly allowance; watching the same title again does not.
What does Pro add?
Mic Sync, which listens to the TV for a few seconds and re-aligns the filter to the exact cut you're streaming, and a higher monthly allowance. Armed Mic Sync is also what keeps filtering running with the phone put away.
Is there a free trial?
One week free on Pro yearly, when Apple offers it at checkout. Apple grants the free week once per Apple ID, so an Apple ID that has held any CleanCut plan before is charged the full price. The app only promises the week when Apple confirms it is available.
How do I cancel?
Through Apple: App Store, your account, Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewing. There is no CleanCut account to close.
Why is Tubi paid when Tubi is free?
Filtering Tubi works the same way as the subscription apps: CleanCut has to find subtitles for each title, and that is what the allowance covers, not the streaming service's own price. YouTube and Plex are free because they supply their own captions and subtitle tracks.
