Profanity filter for Apple TV+ on Apple TV
The Apple TV app's restrictions block a title by rating. CleanCut adds the mute inside a title you've allowed: Apple TV+ originals, and anything bought or rented from Apple, in the same app. For the box itself and every other app on it, the general Apple TV guide covers the rest.

Restrictions on the Apple TV, under Settings, can require a passcode for anything above a chosen rating, and the same controls apply inside the TV app. That blocks a title. It does nothing to a line of dialogue in a title that is allowed.

Setting it up
- Install CleanCut on the iPhone or iPad you keep near the TV, on the same Wi-Fi as the Apple TV.
- Open it, pick your Apple TV, and type in the code that appears on the television. Once.
- Choose whether profanity is muted or skipped, and switch off any words you don’t mind hearing. Changes apply mid-episode.
- Press play in Apple TV+. Nothing to configure in the Apple TV app. Pair CleanCut with the Apple TV box once and press play as usual.
